Drew Richardson is best known as the first person in the 21st Century to have new silent films shown in major motion pictures theaters. Besides being a silent film star in the wrong century, Drew has been creating solo stage shows for the past thirty years, which he has performed from Austin to Austria.
Drew has also toured with Squonk Opera and the Daredevil Opera Company. Recently, he performed at the International Comedy Art Festival in China. He continues to tour his shows to arts centers, colleges, and festivals.
Drew studied with Jacques Lecoq in Paris, has a BFA in Theatre from Ohio University, and an MFA in Theatre Performance Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University.
As physical acting coach, he has taught, directed, devised, and consulted for companies and schools including 500 Clown, Strawdog Theatre, Quest Wings Company, The (Very) Physical Comedy Institute, Ko Festival, Ohio University, University of Michigan, Muhlenberg College, and Point Park Conservatory.
